THE PROGRAM

An orthodontic CBCT concept with calibrated geometry and local reconstruction.

Vera is an orthodontic CBCT concept. The program is focused on calibrated geometric accuracy, local reconstruction, automated cephalometric support, and a clear distinction between measured and inferred anatomy. Scan-time, dose, image-quality, clinical, and regulatory validation are not complete.

THE PRODUCT JOB

01 · ACQUISITION

Test a shorter acquisition process.

The program must measure the tradeoff among projection count, bandwidth, image quality, dose, and motion before making a speed claim.

02 · INTERPRETATION

Separate measured anatomy from software inference.

The intended interface keeps uncertainty visible and leaves interpretation with the clinician.

03 · WORKFLOW

Connect imaging to treatment planning.

The concept connects reconstruction, cephalometric landmarks, airway review, referral communication, and the patient record.

PROPOSED MECHANISM

Calibrate the geometry before automating interpretation.

The current prototype architecture pairs a dental monoblock with a 16 × 16 cm flat-panel detector, encoder-triggered projections, and local reconstruction on an Apple-class workstation. Calibration phantoms (not AI alone) set the spatial-accuracy foundation; software can then accelerate reconstruction, tracing, and review.

CURRENT STATUS

Concept program. Validation is not complete.

This device is not available for clinical use. The engineering, clinical, regulatory, manufacturing, and naming work listed below remains incomplete.

  1. 01Orthodontist interviews and market validation
  2. 02Patent and freedom-to-operate review
  3. 03Radiation-safety infrastructure
  4. 04Defined 0.5 mm validation protocol
  5. 05Clinical and regulatory validation
