ABOUT ROME

Engineering a betterworking life in orthodontics.

ROME is an orthodontic software company that connects practice knowledge, patient-related work, and human-reviewed AI for orthodontists and their teams.

What ROME does

01

Forum: patient-centered coordination

Forum connects calls, messages, scheduling, tasks, instructions, and follow-up around each patient. The goal is a clear record of the context, the person responsible, and the next step, with less work lost between systems.

02

Practice knowledge and the ROME Team

ROME is designed to make your standard operating procedures usable in daily work, rather than leaving them in a binder. Specialized AI roles use practice instructions to prepare and coordinate work, while people retain responsibility for sensitive decisions.

03

Campus: AI review and improvement

Campus brings the agent run, feedback, changed instruction, approval, and retest into one review record. Teams can investigate what went wrong and evaluate a correction before relying on it.

04

Hardware research

ROME is researching intraoral scanning, nasal-resistance measurement, ultrasound guidance for TAD placement, and orthodontic CBCT. These four programs are concepts under development, not devices available for clinical use.

What makes ROME different

01

An engineer and orthodontist at the product table

David brings engineering principles to the practice he built from scratch in a competitive Bay Area market. His insistence on understanding and improving the whole care process shapes ROME's product decisions.

02

Five people, more than 80 years of office experience

The founding team brings more than 80 years of combined orthodontic office experience. That includes 20+ years each in treatment coordination, front-desk operations, insurance, and clinical orthodontics.

03

Built inside a working practice

The product is shaped by actual calls, handoffs, schedule changes, and follow-up inside David's practice. The starting point is the work an orthodontic office needs to complete, not a generic software template.

04

Practice knowledge that outlasts a handoff

ROME's aim is to keep your vision, procedures, and patient commitments available when roles change or someone is away. It is designed to reduce dependence on individual memory, not eliminate the need for a capable, accountable team.

05

Human approval and open systems

ROME is designed around documented interfaces, visible ownership, and human review of sensitive work. The objective is to connect existing systems while keeping patient communication, clinical decisions, and irreversible actions under appropriate human control.

Who uses ROME

ROME is being developed inside the founder's orthodontic practice. Beyond that practice, these are the people we are building for, not a claim of an established external customer base.

The team behind ROME

David Majeroni, DDS: engineer turned orthodontist

David built his orthodontic practice from scratch in a competitive Bay Area community he chose to call home. He still uses engineering principles to refine the patient experience, office operations, and the working life he wants for himself and his team.

David describes his Gallup strengths as Builder and Learner. His attention to detail, passion for improving care, and early adoption of technology led him to create ROME. Working in a community of technology leaders and their families has also shaped his perspective on what thoughtfully designed tools can make possible.

Clinical experience with a personal purpose

David's training includes Pitts Masters and Eric Phelps' airway course, with clinical experience in Damon and Pitts 21 approaches. A family experience with sleep apnea made airway health deeply personal and strengthened his commitment to recognizing problems that can be overlooked.

A five-person team grounded in office work

The team brings more than 80 years of combined orthodontic office experience: 20+ in treatment coordination, 20+ at the front desk, 20+ in insurance, and 20+ in clinical orthodontics. That knowledge helps define the details a practice needs software to get right.

Why we started

ROME began with a frustration: the practice's standards and patient commitments were scattered across systems, documents, and individual memory. After five months in stealth, the team is beginning to share a product vision in which that knowledge actively supports daily work and sensitive decisions remain human-approved.

How ROME works

01

Start with David

Email, call, or text the founder to discuss your practice, current tools, and the work you want to improve. This is a direct conversation with the team, not a promise of a particular response time.

02

Agree on a focused starting point

Before onboarding, confirm product availability, integration requirements, pricing, responsibilities, and the scope of the first workflow. Timing and support arrangements are agreed for the practice rather than promised as a universal turnaround.

03

Make your standards explicit

Identify the procedures, patient commitments, staff responsibilities, and approval boundaries the workflow needs. The aim is to make your practice's way of working visible and usable rather than asking you to adopt a generic playbook.

04

Review before expanding

Evaluate the workflow with your team and confirm what is ready, what needs correction, and what still requires a person. Expand only when the evidence supports it, with clinical responsibility staying with the practice.

Frequently asked questions

01

Who is ROME for?

ROME is for orthodontists and practice leaders who want progressive technology without losing control of their care standards. It is being built for teams that want clearer responsibilities, less repeated work, and more confidence in patient follow-through.

02

Does ROME replace my team?

No. Its purpose is to preserve knowledge and help people carry out the practice's standards. Staffing, training, clinical judgment, and accountability still matter.

03

Can ROME guarantee that everyone follows our SOPs?

No software can guarantee perfect execution or a stress-free practice. ROME's aim is to make instructions, ownership, approvals, and unfinished work visible so the team can identify and address gaps.

04

Does ROME work with existing practice software?

ROME is designed to connect through APIs and documented workflows. Compatibility and the scope of each integration need to be confirmed for your practice before onboarding.

05

Is ROME available now?

After five months of stealth development, the team is beginning to share ROME publicly and welcomes conversations with interested practices. Contact David to confirm current access, readiness, pricing, and fit; this is not a claim of unrestricted general availability.

06

Are the hardware products ready for clinical use?

No. The hardware programs remain research concepts with engineering, clinical, regulatory, and manufacturing work still to complete. Their concept films are not evidence of a shipping device.

07

How do I contact the team?
