An intraoral scanner concept with open file output.
Luce is an API-first intraoral scanner concept. The program is intended to address scanner cost, closed file formats, and the need to share one scanner across multiple operatories. Accuracy and manufacturing validation are not complete.

Luce is intended to export open files and support one scanner per operatory.
The concept uses local reconstruction and standard STL and PLY output. Cost and accuracy targets are not yet validated.

PROPOSED MECHANISM
Luce would reconstruct a 3D surface from projected light.
Dual-wavelength coded line projection, global-shutter cameras, cross-polarized color capture, and open reconstruction software are being developed as one synchronized optical system. The target is practical orthodontic digital-impression accuracy, not a broad diagnostic device claim.
